Food Plants

These life size paintings were commissioned for "The New Oxford Book of Food Plants" by J.G. Vaughan and C.A.Geissler. Oxford University Press 2009. In order to paint the plants at various stages from life, Elisabeth grew many of them in a polytunnel, and the remainder were provided by Kew, RHS Wisley and The Eden Project. A selection of the original paintings were awarded a Gold Medal by the Royal Horticultual Society.
