Morello Cherry - Prunus cerasus

A tree covered in bright Morello cherries is truly beautiful, the fruits being bright red, deep crimson or black. They are not sweet, but perfect for culinary purposes and used for jams, tarts and other desserts. The large white blossom is a delight, with slightly wavy petals, and a Morello tree can be highly ornamental in Spring. This bunch of cherries came from a small orchard in Sussex.
